Rex Smeal Park is one of the main public spaces in Port Douglas, and is often see in photos of the area. It is lined with palm trees and has a great ocean view, plus some magnificent fig trees as seen in the photos below.
You can hire the main park and use it for both ceremonies and receptions. The ceremony area of ‘Little Cove’ is just off to one side and is ideal for this purpose. The main park is around $689 to hire for the day/night if you wish to use it, whilst Little Cove is only $80 for a 2 hour slot.
Public toilet facilities are located nearby, and power can be used at the main park site, not at Little Cove.
To make use of the fig tree or park area for a reception you will need to work with a great local supplier – try our local caterers with experience at this venue and make something magic!
