We love sharing our enthusiasm for this little town and its unique features, and are always talking to couples about why they chose Port Douglas. Jason and Louise hosted a beautiful small wedding here, and talk to us about choosing a wedding location:
“There were lots of reasons we chose to celebrate our wedding day in Port Douglas. One of the main reasons was that all of our closest family and friends were scattered all over Australia and Asia which means everyone would have had to travel to get to our wedding. We thought that considering everyone would be travelling it would be nice to go to a beautiful location where everyone could enjoy themselves. After a lot of research we found Port Douglas. The option to have our ceremony in St Mary’s by the Sea and our reception on Sugar Wharf were major draw cards. We also wanted to enjoy the wedding planning process so the help that Shobha at Port Douglas Weddings and Roxanne at Port Douglas Catering provided us really helped achieve that goal. Finally, we knew the photos would be the only tangible memories of the day that we would be able to keeping looking at for years to come we decided it was important to find a really great photographer. Port Douglas meant we could tick all of wedding criteria and it definitely turned out to be the best place for us to get married”
