Four Mile beach runs along the length of Port Douglas and has a number of great spots for wedding ceremonies. Other lovely options nearby include Newell beach and Oak beach, with resorts and holiday houses very close to provide a base and reception location. For a smaller wedding group, a holiday house near the beach makes a great wedding venue, but ask us first as not all places are ‘wedding friendly’. Resorts often have easy beach access and can arrange a beachside ceremony area, followed by a reception back at the resort restaurant or function area.
Beach sand and such is not for everyone though, so check out our pages on Rex Smeal Park, Little Cove, St Mary’s by the Sea and other ceremony locations in Port Douglas – all are very close to the beach without the high heels getting stuck issues.
