Q1.How long have Executive Retreats been in the Accommodation and Wedding Industry?
Hans & Wendy started the business over 22 years ago when they saw a unique opportunity in the tourism market for private holiday houses. After travelling the world professionally for many years they brought their combined love of architecture, interior design and all things tropical to Port Douglas and created the award winning Executive Retreats brand.
Q2. What makes Executive Retreats stand out from the crowd?
A premium product and outstanding service! Our portfolio includes some of the best houses in Australia and also the rest of the world. Many of our properties are award or even multiple winners for their locations, architecture and design. Mali Mali, one of our Signature Homes was awarded Australia’s Best House. Many retreats have featured in the media – TV, Reality Shows, Documentaries, magazines and much more.

Q3. How many wedding guests are permitted at the retreats?
Each retreat varies. We can cater from 2-200. For those that choose a simple elopement, we have a large selection of intimate retreats. For those that want the grandest of weddings, our Signature Lifestyle Retreat, Bali Hai can cater for up to 200 guests. We also have many retreats on absolute beachfront or in unique locations that can cater up to 100 guests.

Why wouldn’t you? We have a beautiful climate all year round, which makes packing a breeze. We have the wonders of the natural world in our backyard – The Great Barrier Reef and the oldest tropical rainforest on earth, The Daintree Rainforest. There are countless activities for your guests to partake in. We have everything from sunset sailing to jungle surfing…and everything in between!

Q5. Do you have many celebrity weddings and if so, can you share the goss?
We pride ourselves in absolute confidentiality and respect our guests privacy at all times. Yes, we have many celebrities but as to who…our lips are sealed!
