TIM AND TIFFANY

How did you meet?

We met while working for the same company on a remote mining construction site in the Pilbara.

Describe the proposal?

We were up at Noosa during our R n R and had just been for a 10km walk through the Noosa National Park… he popped the question in the shower after we got back! 😀 Definitely caught me by surprise there!!

How did you decide on a place to celebrate your wedding day?

Tim was supposed to be running in the Great Barrier Reef Marathon in Port Douglas that day, so we decided that we would get married in the afternoon following that, but Tim didn’t end up competing in the race, and our time up there was all about our wedding instead ☺

What do you think about Port Douglas?

Absolutely stunning place!! Will definitely be coming back for a holiday or two in the future!

Describe the details of your day – flowers, photos, transport, cake etc…

Thankfully, with the help of Ben and Cath, we were able to organise everything for our big day, without actually having to be there!! My flowers were provided by Floral Edge, and were absolutely stunning, our wedding ‘cake’, which was actually a cupcake cake, was made by Roberta at the Cupcake Café – they were delicious!  My hair and make-up was done by the ladies at The Hair Shop, and I couldn’t have asked for a better job, they were fabulous! Photos of course were done by Ben and Cath at Sass Studios, who made the whole photo experience more than bearable (both Tim and I are not keen on posing for photos), but they made it feel very natural, easy and most of all fun for us!! We hired vehicles from Cairns for our wedding transport.  Considering we were essentially eloping, our wedding party was very small, so we organised through Managing Australia Destinations to have a beautiful table set up out by the pool at the resort we stayed at, Rendezvous Reef Resort, with a big fresh seafood dinner for everyone.  It was absolutely spectacular, the seafood was delicious, the table set up and atmosphere was intimate and beautiful and exceeded all expectations of what we had asked for.

Were you happy with the suppliers for your wedding, let us know as much detail as you can about each….

Hair Shop: Absolutely stoked with my hair and make-up.  The ladies did a fabulous job!!

Sass Photography: Photographers were awesome, made the photography aspect of our day very easy and fun!!

Floral Edge: Beautiful flowers, such friendly and helpful staff.  Very very happy customer!!

What was the biggest challenge you faced while planning your big day?

‘Flying blind’ essentially, as we did all the planning from Brisbane, without actually meeting anyone or seeing any samples of flowers or locations prior to arriving in Port Douglas 2 days before our wedding!

What was the most memorable moment about your wedding day?

The moment after we said our vows and had our first kiss as husband and wife!

Did you write your own vows?

Yes we did.

What’s next for you guys?

Starting a family sooner rather than later hopefully! But in the meantime, just enjoying married life ☺
