Bek and Luke – Rex Smeal Park

After being together for 11 years, Bek and Luke decided Port Douglas was the perfect place to get married…..

Luke and I visited 2 years ago on holidays and when he saw Rex Smeal Park he thought how perfect it would be for a wedding…I’ve always wanted to get married in Port Douglas so it was perfect! We just love the tropics, the relaxed atmosphere, palm tree’s and just everything about PD!

We worked closely with local suppliers, many of which we found via the Wedding Lounge.   I felt like a friend more than a client and all the advice and help along our journey just made the whole experience so enjoyable! Being so calm and relaxed with a good sense of humour can make any stressed bride just chill out and it was so nice to have them.

Vicki was just amazing! She was always in contact with us no matter what time of day or night! Her response from our million email’s was so personal and genuine. She knew exactly what we wanted and didn’t stop at anything to make sure our day was perfect!  Her theming and eye for detail was wonderful and we couldn’t have been happier with how it all looked!

We had heard so many amazing reviews and they did not disappoint… Their food was just exceptional and everyone commented on its quality and quantity!  It was always a good laugh with Brittany and Dean they created our dream wedding.  Britt also did a lot of her own work for us with signs and table seating guides etc.  Their whole team are so professional and organised and it went off without a hitch!

Sass Photography – We we so lucky to have Ben… Genuine and relaxed which made us feel so much less nervous on the day!  It was like having a friend take pics but at the same time so professional and everything I’ve seen is just unreal!  The ideas Ben came up with and the timing etc. was great and we would highly recommend him to anyone!  So stoked!

Threadless Films – Glenn was a our videographer and such a great guy!! We hardly knew he was there which was great as he would have captured all the natural moments, not staged and was so good to work with!

Floral Edge – The girls down there are just incredible!!! So efficient and what they do with flowers is amazing… Great prices and their work is awesome, I was so thrilled with the bouquets!  Can you believe I rang them at 6pm the evening before my wedding stressed as we had a change of plans and we desperate for a chuppa flowers and it was no problem at all and whipped one up ready to be delivered with our bouquets the next morning and it was excellent.
